The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story (2018)
The second season of American Crime Story (2016- ) takes on the late 90s killing spree of Andrew Cunanen that ended with the murder of fashion designer Gianni Versace. The series of events is told in reverse, starting with Versaces murder and working its way back to Cunanens childhood. This is a very effective way to tell the story, and I as a viewer got hooked after the first episode. Darren Criss gives a great performance as the serial killer, and the suporting cast is very well put together. Highlights are Penelope Cruz as Donatella Versace and Cody Fern as David Madson. Can’t wait to see what further seasons will bring!
